TrumPower has upgraded its TW150 series of dual, triple, and quad output ac-dc switching power supplies to comply with the new IEC 62368-1 hazard-based, performance-oriented standards, which will be replacing the current IEC 60950-1 safety standards in December.

The power supply is available in three standard dual output models, three triples and seven quadruple output types.
Outputs are always a selection from -15V, -12V, 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, 28V and 48V, at up to 150W total continuous output with 30 CFM forced air. 120W is available with only convection cooling, from either the 76 x 127 x 34mm open PCB type, or the 80 x 127 x 40mm U-bracket-style version.
Operation is from 90 to 264Vac and across 0°C to +60°C ambient (derating linearly from 100% load at +40°C to 50% at +60°C).
Efficiency is 80% typical at full load, with active PFC achieving 0.99.
Over-temperature, over-load and short-circuit protections are included, and life predicted by MIL-HDBK-217F is 100,000h minimum MTBF at full load, 25°C ambient.
“The power supply series is RoHS compliant and approved to the latest ITE standards, including IEC/EN/UL 62368-1:2014 and CAN/CSA 22.2 No. 62368-1-14,” according to the company. “The power supply complies with EMC and immunity standards including EN 55022, FCC, CISPR 22, Class B.”
